Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known character is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with performing in Preparatory School after which she moved to Ohio together with her family during the late 1970s. She attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna worked in the theatre in the Chicago area for a few years before trying her hand at TV as well as films. Anna's first big part was Arden as she appeared in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued to be in film and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of the 1990's. Then she was placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. In 2000, she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler played her part in Breaking Bad. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another movie she starred in. Gunn has also appeared on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is a podcast consisting of four audio dramas. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's final years of his life.
